Membership of the scheme is closed to new members. Those councillor members who were members of the scheme on 31 March 2014 were able to continue to contribute to and accrue rights in the scheme until the end of their term of office. Councillor members were not able to re-join the LGPS is any subsequent term of office. Detailed information can be found below.
